The current statistics offered by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) shows that in the most recent 1 year period ended June 30, 2008, Louisiana showed a gain in home values of +2.68%. The chart also shows that Louisiana is ranked 13th in the U.S. for home price appreciation. This is very good news when in the same time period, much of the U.S. housing market has suffered declines.
